Algebra:
MONDAY: (6/2 - in class) "Chapter 10, Section 10.1 AND 10.2"
Chapter 13 test is due today.
Understanding features of quadratic equations & quadratic functions.
Graphing y = ax^2 + c and y = ax^2 + bx +c
TUESDAY: (6/3 - independent work) "Chapter 10, Section 10.3"
Understanding features of quadratic equations & quadratic functions.
First, read Section 10.3 in your book.
Then, work in IXL on these sections for pratice:
And from Khan Academy:
Work in the Graphing Quadratics section. Watch videos and take it all in. I want to you understand HOW these things work. In Algebra II, you will work on CREATING them to a much greater degree than I require of you now. That said, you can go head and work on the other sections of Quadratics in Khan Academy, but please understand we will not be covering much of this in class.
We will be moving on to SOLVING quadratics on Wed and Thurs, so if you can't be with us then, go ahead and look at those sections of the book (Sections 10.4, 10.5).
No homework tonight.
WEDNESDAY: (6/4 - in class) "Chapter 10, Section 10.4"
Use square roots to solve quadratic equations.
THURSDAY: (6/5 - in class) "Chapter 10, Sections 10.5 and 10.6"
Solve quadratic equations by completing the square.
Use the Quadratic Equation.
We will skip Section 10.7.
FRIDAY: (5/30 - independent work) "Chapter 10"
Do the Chapter test for Chapter 10 from your book.
Email (or otherwise get) me your answers by MONDAY, June 9.
