2. Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with fractional edge lengths by packing it with unit cubes of the appropriate unit fraction edge lengths, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths of the prism. Apply the formulas V = l w h and V = b h to find volumes of right rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths in the context of solving real-world and mathematical problems.

1. We will follow the rules and methods for these Formal Team Debates.
Read through the website to understand how Formal Team Debates differ from other types of debates.

2. Look at your google mail. Look at the rubric for debates presentations. Understand the expectations.

3. In the debates, for the HOMEWORK debate, each team will have FOUR minutes to make their case, another FOUR minutes to argue the other team's points, and a final THREE minutes to summarize. 

(We will flip a coin to see who goes first on debate day.) 

a) Today, you should prepare your first constructive argument - the first speech you give, that sets out your position and why you take that position. Decide who the first person will be. Each team will have FOUR minutes to make their case.
  
b) Today, you will also prepare the destructive speech, the speech you make against your opponent's points. You will need to guess what they will say and prepare to speak against that. You will have FOUR minutes to speak. Decide who will take this job.

c) The third job is the summative speaker. The summary is THREE minutes long. At this point, the judge had heard everything and your job is to 'drive it home' - convince the judge by repeating earlier arguments. 

Tomorrow we will work on individual debates.

3. Work on your test. Do all of it now that Hinge Theorem is so clear.
